Our work · Phoenix
Mesa has some of the largest 55+ communities in the Valley, and bathrooms there are often the first room owners want to change: high tub walls, slippery floors and tight showers make daily routines harder than they need to be.
We build low-threshold walk-in showers, add grab-bar blocking, choose slip-resistant tile and comfort-height fixtures, and handle full bathroom remodels throughout Mesa’s older and newer homes. Accessibility details are something to talk through at your estimate.
Local know-how
Replacing a hard-to-step-into tub with a low-threshold walk-in shower.
Slip-resistant tile, blocking for grab bars and better lighting, planned in from the start.
New plumbing, tile, vanity and ventilation for original 70s and 80s bathrooms.
Planning
Bathroom remodeling is one of the most searched home projects in Mesa. In 55+ homes, the most common goal is a safer bathroom: replacing a high-sided tub with a low-threshold walk-in shower, adding slip-resistant tile and blocking for grab bars, and improving the lighting.
In older central Mesa homes, original bathrooms often need a full gut: new plumbing, waterproofing, tile, vanity and ventilation. In newer homes, primary bathrooms with garden tubs are good candidates for a walk-in shower conversion.
A typical Mesa tub-to-shower conversion removes the existing tub and surround, adds a waterproofed shower base with a low threshold, tiles the walls, and installs a glass door or panel, a handheld shower on a slide bar and a built-in niche or bench. Blocking for grab bars goes in the walls before the tile, so bars can be added now or later.
For homeowners who want to keep a tub, a new alcove tub with a tiled surround and updated fixtures is a good option, especially in secondary bathrooms used by visiting family.
Every bathroom remodel starts with a free in-home estimate. We walk the space with you, measure, talk through layout, materials and budget, and then give you a clear written quote. Once you approve it, we order materials, schedule the work and keep you updated until the final walkthrough.
